The North Carolina Rate Bureau requested an increase of homeowner insurance rates last November. That was rejected by the NC Insurance commissioner last week temporarily stopping a rate hike. That will not be the end of the discussions as there is a hearing set for July to hear more evidence as it pertains to the rate increase.
